Michael Hunter for Twists Glass lion's head paperweight

This lion's head paperweight was made by Michael Hunter for Twists Glass in 2016. The small round base is in dark colbalt blue glass and has a moulded orange glass lion's head applied to the top. The base is scratch signed "M Hunter Twists 16 PCA 2017 Christmas Special" and has the Twists Glass studio label. I found this at our last visit to the studio and persuaded Mike & Sue to release it as I loved it so much. This weight was made as a sample for the Paperweight Collectors of America to be given as a table fancy at one of their future events. The Association did not proceed with the order - which is very fortunate for me (and the eventual buyer) as I was able to buy it - this is in effect a prototype.
